Official site name approved – Welcome to Harkness Memorial Park

We’re pleased to announce that Harkness Memorial Park is the official name of our new development site, following community consultation and formal approval from the Victorian Government in early 2025. 

Previously known as Melton West Memorial Park, the new name aligns with its location in the suburb of Harkness and reflects the identity of the local area. 

Community choice  

The naming process was guided by your input. During our consultation period from 30 September to 29 October 2024, 64.2% of the community responses supported the name Harkness Memorial Park. 

 We appreciate the community’s feedback and engagement throughout this process. 

What’s next?  

The new name will be updated across all platforms in the coming weeks, including our website, Google Maps, and other official records.
